Watch: Spurlock’s ‘Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope’ Doc Trailer
by Medioh News Bot on Feb.22, 2012, under General News, Hype, Indies, Movie News, To Watch, Trailers
"My wife's not too ecstatic about this whole toy collecting thing." Wrekin Hill has debuted the first trailer via Apple for Morgan Spurlock's documentary Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope, the doc about Comic-Con that follows geeks and their experiences around the Con. The trailer profiles a few of them, one is a toy collector, one is an artist, another is an artist, one is a comics seller and the other is the designer of those badass Mass Effect costumes - so it's five, but they only show three in this. It's still a good trailer and gives anyone who hasn't been a sense of what Comic-Con is really like, flabby Green Lantern guys and all. ›››

Watch: Official Trailer for ’4:44 Last Day on Earth’ with Willem Dafoe
by Medioh News Bot on Feb.22, 2012, under General News, Indies, Movie News, sci-fi, To Watch, Trailers
"At 4:44AM tomorrow morning, there will be no survivors. The world will end." IFC Films has debuted an official trailer on IMDb (found via TheMovieBox) for Abel Ferrara's 4:44 Last Day on Earth, essentially Ferrara's crazy Southern take on the last days before the end of the world. Willem Dafoe stars with Paz de la Huerta as two of the characters in this near-apocalyptic film described literally as "a look at what would happen if everyone knew the world was ending." I'm not really sure I'm into this take on that histeria, but I do love savage Dafoe and I do want to see what craziness it tries to address. Give this a shot anyway. ›››

by Medioh News Bot on Feb.22, 2012, under General News, Hype, Indies, Movie News, To Watch
"From as long as I remember, I wanted to be someone else." Time to take a look and get an introduction to The Imposter, Bart Layton's documentary about Frédéric Bourdin, which premiered at Sundance to rave reviews, including my own. Bourdin is a French criminal who deceived authorities and convinced them that he was a 16-year-old missing child from Texas found in Spain. It's a nearly unbelievable true story, and these are the first glimpses at what they have and where they go in this, with the family and Frederic's side of it. Now you know what we are all talking about and why this looks so good. Fire up the first trailer below! ›››

Watch: Another Hilarious ‘American Reunion’ Theatrical Trailer Hits
by Medioh News Bot on Feb.22, 2012, under General News, Hype, Movie News, To Watch, Trailers
"Then we graduated and started getting jobs, getting married, having kids and all that other stupid stuff." We've already seen a handful of trailers for the nostalgic sex comedy American Reunion (including a raunchy Red Band teaser and another filthy international tease), and now we have yet another full length trailer for the film as the April 6th release date looms ever closer. Gotta love the use of Closing Time by Semisonic (yeah, that takes me back) and the original opening credits song, and I really feel like this could be a great finale for the franchise that started back when I was a teenager full of hormones. Watch it below! ›››

"Here was a real man in a real situation again." The very first video blog for Bond 23, Skyfall, has debuted on the official 007.com website (via ComingSoon). Taking a cue from The Hobbit, director Sam Mendes presents the first of hopefully many video blogs from the set of Skyfall, this time talking about why he was the perfect guy for the job. He also says some nice things about Daniel Craig, returning as Agent 007, and gives us a tease of the locations he's been shooting in England. "It is still possible to make a big, fabulous, glamorous, escapist movie and yet - at the same time, to say something about the world we're living in." ›››

"Forgot everything you think you may know, because you do not know anything." Time for something fun. Roadside Attractions has unveiled a fantastic first teaser trailer for their upcoming SXSW film titled Blue Like Jazz, directed by Steve Taylor, based on Donald Miller's book about a junior college kid from Texas who tries to escape his Bible Belt upbringing for life in the Pacific Northwest at the "most godless campus in America." The cast includes Marshall Allman (True Blood), Claire Holt (Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars) and Tania Raymonde (Lost). This looks surprisingly good, I'd love to see it if I were down at SXSW. ›››

Watch: Crazy Violent Dutch Zombie Comedy ‘Zombibi’ Official Trailer
by Medioh News Bot on Feb.21, 2012, under Foreign Films, General News, Movie News, To Watch, Trailers
Are you ready for something really crazy, and I mean it this time? Our friends at Bloody-Disgusting have found an official trailer for a Dutch zombie comedy called Zombibi that just looks nuts, absolutely insane. Not only is there bloody violent zombie mayhem galore, but there's also big sci-fi visual effects, a guy with a humongous gatling gun taking out zombies, lots of decapitation, and everything else you can imagine. More European zombie chaos at its finest! This doesn't have subtitles, but it doesn't need any, they use the damn Pirates of the Caribbean trailer music which doesn't fit, but it doesn't matter, it's wild enough. Have fun! ›››

"Come one, come two, come all!" If you're not a fan of Repo! The Genetic Opera, the Bousman-directed dark musical, I suggest staying away from this, it's more of the same - but at a carnival. This follow-up is "more accessible than Repo but also a lot darker than Repo" and includes a lot of the same cast: Paul Sorvino, Alexa Vega, Bill Moseley, Skinny Puppy's Ogre, plus newcomers Jessica Lowndes, Sean Patrick Flannery and Briana Evigan. Enjoy! ›››
